The evolution of electronic sound reproduction has moved from the crackles of the early gramophones to sound thats close to perfect. Betetec Industries, a leader in the field which doesnt believe in the adage that Close enough is good enough has pushed the boundaries just a little further with the introduction of its Teardrop Tweeter. The tweeter design is based on the way air causes a drop of water to form a teardrop shape to minimise turbulence as it falls through air. Betetec engineers have adapted this simple observation to sound transmission, and have produced a faceplate profile for the new tweeter which significantly improves frequency response and dispersion by reducing air turbulence. The result is smoother sound reproduction which takes on a transparent quality. Exhaustive testing by Betetec proved the teardrop shape is more than a curiosity. Evaluation in the companys own anechoic chamber enabled sound engineers to test the speakers....
