October Breakfast Before Business

October 16th, 2009

It was a beautiful Ballina morning for a  Breakfast before Business, and we were joined by Paul McKey, an internationally recognised authority in the area of business improvement, innovation, learning and performance and successful technology implementation. He spoke to the members about innovation in business, adopting technology and making it work for your business. His presentation was very thought provoking and had a lot of brains ticking as to how they could grow their business through better use of social media tools such as Facebook, Twitter and the internet.

We also launched the TV Commercial for the Ballina Town Centre, a destination style promotion that captures the essence of Ballina Town Centre. The commercial goes to air in November, so look out for it on a screen near you!

January Breakfast Before Business

July 1st, 2008

Once again our Breakfast before Business meeting was a very informative and enjoyable morning.

This month the emphasis was on new and existing members of the Chamber. 50 operators passed the microphone around the room and introduced themselves and their business to fellow members. Networking is not everyones strong point and with over 60 members at each function it can be hard at times to know who is in the room with you and what benefit you may get from forming a relationship. Members said this was a great way to target people they specifically want to network with at future functions.
